If you’re making something that contains several modern Mexican kids and not even one of them is some degree of emo/punk/goth, whether they grew up in Mexico or in the USA, it’s just unrealistic and I’m not buying it. This is coming from a Mexican girl who’s been to both sides of the border and has been emo (which I’ll just use as an umbrella term for convenience) since elementary: not the majority, but a significant portion of Mexican kids are very, very emo and just can’t get enough of My Chemical Romance.

I'm a starting writer hoping to improve in the future. This is where I'll be posting short stories, reference sheets and more!
