“Religious freedom” bills are the newest attack on LGBT Americans

This summer, thanks to the Supreme Court, same-sex marriage could become legal nationwide. Organizations dedicated to the larger mission of civil rights for LGBT Americans, however, may want to hold off on uncorking
the Champagne. The war against LGBT Americans rages on, whether in the restriction to access goods and
services or
to work without fear of unfair termination, LGBT Americans seem destined
to be fighting for basic legal protections long after the battle for
civil marriage has been won.

The amount of people who think this begins and ends at marriage astound me. Marriage isn’t the goal, it was just one of the lowest rungs. And we still have many more to climb!
