I love how understanding and friendly Bismuth is, like she:

-Understands and accepts that Steven and Rose are two different beings from the very beginning

-Isn’t mad at Steven when she reforms in Made of Honor

-Feels genuine remorse for trying to shatter him

-Took the news that Rose was actually Pink Diamond like a champ and doesn’t dwell on it

-Loves her friends so fucking much

-Welcomes Steven and Amethyst as new friends with open arms

-Made of point of making Amethyst feel special by saying “not every Quartz can make a whip like this” and gave her a sweet ass weapon upgrade

-Openly expresses her emotions and isn’t afraid to cry, whether it’s out of sadness or happiness

-Is firm in her stance against Homeworld, but accepts that Steven must collaborate with the Diamonds in order to heal corruption and does not begrudge him of that. She even encourages him to “roar at them in their language,” meaning he should take on the position they have for him and behave in an acceptable way in order to keep their attention.

-Understands puns and metaphors better than any other gem on the show, who are far more literal

-Is so advanced at the metaphors that she made a gem one that Steven didn’t understand (”I’m not gonna lay my gem on their anvil”), and then restated and expanded on this idea with a metaphor in “Earth terms.”

-Is actually very rational, despite a ton of SU fans asserting that she’s a psycho. As a part of a presumably oppressed group on Homeworld, her anger toward “upper crusts” and the Diamonds is 100% justified. Her anger at Rose for what she did to her is 100% justified, and I’m just so impressed that she was able to keep her cool like she did throughout her debut episode

That isn’t even to mention how rad she is. Big? Rainbow hair and tattoos? Cool looking gem that’s unlike any other? Has a forge inside an actual, literal volcano where she makes piles of weapons like it’s nothing??? Actually forged her friends wedding rings and wore a full suit of armor to their wedding??? She’s so cool!
