I have to say, I really like that the crewniverse isn’t letting us forget that yellow and blue diamond are still authoritarian dictators who want the status quo maintained.  yellow and blue aren’t good now, they’re not reformed.  they’re working with steven because they want pink back.  that’s all.  they don’t have respect for garnet, or fusions, or the crystal gems.  the show isn’t making the claim that authorian dictators can just magically become good people

(and i think a lot of people had qualms with how far the show’s themes of befriending adversaries was going, because i agree the diamonds shouldn’t just be forgiven, but this shows that the crewniverse is aware that we can’t just forgive the diamonds)
