but just having the song escapism play over an anthropomorphic exhausted, rotting, non verbal fruit his soul is inhabiting, re-uniting and trying in vain to communicate with Bismuth, Greg and Lion…
and the big kicker,
we’ve seen greg freak out over steven’s safety practically every season
but here its just…
he freaks out for afew secound becase hes WATCHING THE THING HIS SON’S SOUL INABBITS DIE IN FRONT OF HIM
but then he… realises…
that its gonna be okay…
everythings gonna be alright, he managed to get help
