If your kid wants to wear blue clothes and tennis shoes let tem!
If your kid wants to wear pink clothes and tutus let them!!
They are cognizant of how they want to express themselves fucking let them!!

And if you’re afraid they won’t dress right for cold weather or whatever give them warm clothes but give them options between them. It’s really easy to be like hey I know you like blue so here’s two blue sweaters I know for a fact you like, which one seems more you today??

It’s super easy to be aware of a kid’s preferences and still help them wear weather appropriate clothes and trust me they’re going to love being able to have a choice and wear what they like! It also helps them know you care enough to recognize they have preferences too!
