Future of Steven Universe (spoilers!)

Ian JQ said in the most recent Steven Universe Podcast episode that what’s coming next for SU isn’t the same show. He said, “this version of it (the show) is done. There’s going to be more, but it’s going to be different, and it’s going to be something new.“ Guys, I’m not sure if we’re getting season 6. I think we might be getting another show? The original story of Steven Universe is over. There’s probably going to be a tonal shift, different themes and maybe even new main characters? Here are some concepts and returning characters confirmed for this new show (WARNING: don’t read if you don’t want any spoilers, but none of these are actually leaks):

– Rose’s relationship with Amethyst. Apparently, Rose/Pink Diamond related to Amethyst because they were both small and underestimated in their respective groups. We’ll see Rose being a mother figure to Amethyst. I know there’s a source for this but I can’t find it for the life of me

– Lapis character development (apparently her behaviour is going to change) Source: CCXP 2018
