For those blaming Connie and holding anything against her
Look at how MISERABLE Steven was before Connie drags him out onto the dance floor. He needed that. He needed to be reminded that things would be ok, and that they had each other. He needed to be reminded that he has a friend who loves and supports him for who he really is, as he is.
Connie did the right thing for him. She was being a great friend.
